Heiniger Cordless Dog Clipper Review | Easy Grooming at Home
Grooming clippers for dogs.
I found it easier for me to explain all those tools because I can talk from experience being groomer and also I can talk about the anatomy of the dog because I have 10 years experience between clinic and grooming, you can find some tips in Brush, Bathe, Repeat: 10 Grooming Tips to Keep Your Dog Healthy also in Dog Food industry but this is story for another blog.
I was open my grooming business when I was in my fourth year of University and I was really struggling with groom machines, it's true that the groom sometimes become imposible when they have a cord, your hand get tired, because you also has to brush it before (5 Key Reasons Why You Should Brush Your Dog’s Hair) and do the paws with the little machines as well (best mini clippers here). The dog gets tired and you also has to try to make a good groom or even style groom with that machine, what a hustle!
If you ever struggle with a corded clipper, you'll know the frustration, the cords get in the way, you can't angle the clipper properly. You have to keep adjusting it, moving it around the dog, and sometimes the cord even make them nervous. On top of that when your hands get tired, your grip isn't steady and you can lead to uneven cuts or even accidents!
My review after 5 years of using it.
I'm not gonna lie, I just knew the cordless Heiniger Machine when I came to Australia and I said why can't I have one? I decided to buy one and Oh God! such a game changer! Cordless dog grooming clippers: The Heiniger Wireless Clipper solves all of the above issues. It’s lightweight, ergonomic, and gives you total freedom of movement. You can move around your dog easily, reach those tricky spots under the belly, behind the ears, or around the legs without worrying about a cord holding you back. I recommend it for all breed but specially I would say it's one of the best dog clippers for poodles.
Batteries:
Also, another thing I like from it is that it have rechargeable batteries and not just one but two. One is already for the machine and the other one is waiting to be used when the first one is gone, so you never run out of power in the middle of a groom. Each battery last long enough for full sessions even with big or thick coated dogs.
Blades:
You also has to make a good choose about the blades, we can talk about in another post but its really important when you choose a good one because every time you have some issues with the machine it will make you think that the problem its the clipper when its clearly what brand or type of blade you had been choosing.
Quiet Clippers Create a Calmer Grooming Experience
Although not peer-reviewed research, multiple grooming publications note that quiet or low-noise clippers help reduce anxiety and resistance during grooming, making sessions smoother and safer for both the dog and groomer. (doggieconnect)
So, I fully recommend this Heiniger Opal 2-Speed Cordless Clipper
